The premiere of my tv show is just a few days away. It’s extremely gratifying to see this all coming together as we set out to make a green tv show that is as entertaining as it is environmentally informative. I first began talking with the team at Sundance Channel about transitioning my radio show to television during the fall of 2007. Just over a year-and-a-half later we’re on the cusp of launch. You’ll find lots of tv show content already available on Sundance’s site. The min-site url for the tv show is SundanceChannel.com/lazy. We’ll also be posting a lot of content here on our site.
A special thanks to Ozo Life for their shout-out this morning about the show. Here’s a quote from their site:
“How is it fair that when we decide to be lazy, we get called slackers. And when Josh Dorfman decides to call himself The Lazy Environmentalist, he gets two book deals, a radio show, a furniture company, and now, a television show? Maybe it’s because his “lazy” means “effortless,” while our “lazy” means “useless.” And maybe it’s because he actually offers great go-green solutions. He’s a darling in the eco community because of those tips. But darling or not, he’s done preaching to the choir. It’s the skeptics he’s after in his new Sundance show. Bartender, chef, frat boy, pet groomer, hair stylist, landscaper, mayor – Dorfman shows all the doubters how they can go green without compromising a thing. They get the makeovers. You get the “if he can do it, I can do it” kind of thing. It’s great. And a little like Books on Tape…but on TV.”
In Episode One on Tuesday night I take on a “Lazy Family” and a “Lazy Pet Groomer.” Check out the previews.
