Lazy Environmentalist Learns to Ride a Bike

One of the little – yet very important – details that those who haven’t ridden a bike since the age of 13 don’t know is that today you have to clip your feet onto the pedals much like clicking into the bindings of a pair of skis. This information came to my attention last year just days before I was to depart on the 5-Day, 300-Mile Brita Climate Ride. Specialized, one of the ride’s sponsors, sent me a bike so I could ride on behalf of of Brita as the spokesperson for FilterForGood.

This video explains the challenges I subsequently faced not only to complete the ride but to do so without falling.
