Educating our society to effectively tackle global environmental challenges requires fresh, innovative and bold approaches. Some are focusing on experiential in-the-trenches initiatives that defy conventional thinking and overcome inertia. Others are culling the brightest minds from the business, design and technology worlds to articulate optimistic visions for the future and corresponding educational curriculums for our youth.

Andrew Millison – Permaculture Activist, Faculty Member at the ECOSA Institute and one of the founders of EcoHood, an educational, action-oriented endeavor to implement a permaculture retrofit of a mid- to low-income neighborhood with a high potential for ecological sustainability. The first EcoHood is based in Prescott, Arizona.

Josh Thomas - Partner & VP of Research & Technologies at Topics Education, a company that designs strategies and programs for organizations that want to support education while achieving measurable results. Topics Education is spearheading the Visions For Tomorrow initiative in conjunction with the SciFi Channel and Wired Magazine.
