CHe.jpg

Today we are looking seaward at the next wave in the green evolution. Our guest today is an expert interviewed in The 11th Hour, out in theaters now. We love the ocean and even more than that, we love when people are doing awesome things for the ocean.

Today's Featured Radio Guest:

- Co-Director of Ocean Revolution, Conservationist, professor, and Senior Scientist at the Ocean Conservancy.

Timothy Fitzgerald - Marine Biologist for Environmental Defense analyzing the ecological impacts of wild fisheries and aquaculture operations in an effort to promote ocean-friendly seafood choices.

Tips for Greening the Work Place -

-Turn off your computer at the end of a work day.
-Turn your printer off at the end of a work day.
-Suggest installing motion-sensors and timers to the lights.
-When you upgrade technology, make sure to trade in your old gadgets or your phones for money.
-Look for a carpool to take you to and from work.
-Reuse mugs and cups in the office.
-Use recycled paper for all your printing needs as well as having a recycle system in place.

Great concept, one huge "image" problem - Che Guevara isn't exactly a role model for either environmentalism or, as it turned out, social justice either. Far too many were enslaved, died, reduced to poverty through his philosophy (like many other philosophies) to make him a "poster child" for any kind of environmental, social or economic justice movement.

Please pick a better image!
