What could be easier than having easy online instructions to teach folks how to minimize home energy use by merely adjusting their thermostat settings? Well, that was a rhetorical question, but if it had to be answered, one could say a an online video teaching people how to adjust their thermostats and to what levels.

That's some useful information and easy adjustments that we all could make. Now only if that video was accessible right there in the thermostat aisle so that... 1. It would reach the masses..2. Have the info. available during the purchasing process.
Information such as this is not easily accessible to the masses. What I mean by that is, as things are right now people actually have to search out such useful tips and advise. Would it be more effective to have eco tips right their in the aisles of the store to influence the purchase?
