Blossom Cleaning: The Lazy Man’s (or Woman’s) Way To Clean Green

Now that Vivavi has a Manhattan showroom at the Riverhouse to showcase our green furniture, I’ve been able to restore our Brooklyn space back into what it originally was – my home. As a quintessentially lazy Lazy Environmentalist, I rank any sort of physical chore like cleaning exceedingly low on my to-do list. And while I’m thrilled by the mass-market introduction of green cleaners like Green Works, I also fully appreciate the rise of green cleaning services that come to your home and do the scrubbing for you, eco-friendly style. So I was totally stoked when Adam from Blossom Clean emailed last week to introduce his new eco-friendly cleaning service. And I was even more stoked after Blossom Clean arrived promptly on Tuesday morning and had at it. Using only non-toxic cleaning products, Blossom Clean made this space once again livable, and now both I and the planet are the beneficiaries of their service. If you live in New York City or out in the Hamptons Blossom Clean can also be the right solution for you. Thanks again, Adam!

In the cleaning chapter of The Lazy Environmentalist book I list many green cleaning services emerging around the country in cities large and small. For example, Atlanta has Green & Clean; Spokane, Washington has Maid Naturally; Charlotte, North Carolina has Clean Conscience; Los Angeles, California has Green Clean; and Chicago Illinois has Sparkle Queen and The Green Maid.

To find a service near you, try typing “green cleaning service” and the name of your town or city into Google. If you know of a great new service shoot me an email. I’d love to hear about it so we can let our readers know about it too.
